Dear Fellow Republican,

I hope that your campaign is going well for you. If there’s anything I can do to help you with campaigning, please reach out anytime. I appreciate all the hard work you’re putting in to win your seat and help us win a bigger majority!

Shortly after you are elected, one of our first orders of business will be to elect the next Speaker of the House. This vote is crucial to the success of Republicans. Our Republican Caucus will meet on Wednesday, November 13th, at 1:30 p.m. in Representatives Hall at the State House in Concord to vote for the Republican nominee for Speaker by secret ballot.

My name is Len Turcotte, and I am honored to be a Republican candidate for Speaker of the House. My primary goals for taking on this challenge include:

  1. To reestablish trust and integrity within the Republican House Caucus so that we can work collaboratively to best serve our constituents and the citizens of our state. Trust is fundamental to an effective working relationship. As your leader, I am committed to ensuring that my actions align with my words. I pledge to be consistent, reliable, and transparent, so you can have faith in my leadership. Our constituents deserve representatives who prioritize the public good over special and personal interests. I will work diligently to address any perceptions or instances of impropriety or favoritism, often called “pay-to-play” and “the swamp.” We must uphold the highest ethical standards, and I vow to lead by example.
  2. To cultivate unity and collaboration rather than creating division. My leadership team and I will have a true open door policy and a welcoming environment within our caucus. We will never orchestrate House primaries against incumbent Republicans because of personality differences. Such actions weaken our Party and leave us vulnerable in the future. As Speaker, my leadership team and I will always be professional, disciplined, respectful of your valuable time, and prioritize an environment where every member’s contribution is valued and acknowledged. Having served in the House of Representatives for four terms, I understand the importance of having leadership that has the courage of its convictions, the ability to translate that conviction into a vision, and the influence to unite the House to make that vision a reality. The House Speaker must maintain decorum, treat all members respectfully, communicate clearly, listen attentively, lead strategically, and fight for the House of Representatives’ positions in negotiations with other governmental bodies.
  3. To work together to decide our priorities using a bottom-up approach rather than top-down. I will wholeheartedly champion passing long-awaited priorities with our caucus, including a budget based on historical inflation enabling economic stability, parental rights affirming the foundational role of parents written in language that everyone can be proud of, and finally legislation to keep our communities safe by protecting our northern border and preventing sanctuary cities in NH. Priorities we champion in the House we will also champion with the Senate, in Committees of Conference, and with the Governor, based upon the good relations established from the beginning of our term.

It has been an honor speaking with many of the current representatives and new candidates for representative over the last few months. If we haven’t spoken yet, I look forward to talking with you soon. Please reach out to me anytime; I want to hear from you. I can be reached by cell phone at (603) 969-1026 or by email at [email protected].

Thank you for being so dedicated to serving our state. I’m excited to work alongside you in the coming term to restore trust and integrity to our caucus and to make New Hampshire an even better place to work, play, and raise a family. I hope to earn the honor of your vote for Speaker of the House on November 13th.

Sincerely,

Representative Len Turcotte
